This has been a particularly crap day. Just a catalogue of things going wrong.
First I slept in, which is a regular occurrence, and while it's not devastating, it's not a good start. So I rushed around trying to get ready, but when I was brushing my teeth I spat a few bits of my brace down the sink with the used toothpaste. I barely made it to my meeting at work, and then afterwards had head back into town at high speed for an emergency orthodontist's appointment, so the morning was pretty much written off. There are a total of seven research applications going in next week, and two of them I've only found out about in the past 24 hours, but our success rates have not been so good this year, so the boss isn't letting us turn anyone away for taking the piss on deadlines. The phone wouldn't stop ringing, and people kept coming in to talk to me about stuff, so I ended up not leaving work until after 7pm.
Tomorrow I will try again and hope for an improvement.
