I had a dream this morning, before dawn. It involved somebody trying to meet me. By coincidence, this person was the first regular reader of this blog. She was busy, as if working in a busy bureaucratic office. Tasks kept coming towards her and she would do her best to handle them. We spotted each other but for her, tasks were in the way, and I did not want to interfere with her work. Finally, we came within a few feet of each other. Suddenly, my family appeared, including my late father. We all spent a few awkward moments all together, and then she gently motioned for me to follow her somewhere. I began following her. There was some brief protest, but my father said "she likes him [me] so let them have some time together. I am sure they will be good sports."
The two of us then went towards a busy cafeteria and then found an empty lounge attached to it. We went towards the far side of it and sat down on two chairs, a few feet apart, but slightly facing each other. She smiled, breathed a sigh of relief. I also breathed a sigh of relief, was about to look towards the cafeteria (away from her) and suddenly the dream ended.
I am not sure what this dream means.
Anyways, I am already starting to think about my New Year's Resolutions. One of them is to exercise more. Another is to try to get to sleep before 11:00 PM. Yet another is to do a better tally of my monthly expenses. Some year-end goals (for next year) include: paying off student loans (or having them forgiven) and obtaining a job in the financial industry. Another is to purchase a new car. I might finally stop my little "countdown" for the Covid-19 pandemic as it might never really die down again. I believe we are going to see new infections every day for at least the next one hundred years. Much like the common cold virus, this virus might never truly be defeated.
