Handwriting recognition

I always have huge amounts of trouble writing things in dreams. Last night I dreamt I met some guy at a party, he had this big plastic bag full of extremely rare vinyl recordings. They were all the dozens of pseudonyms of Frank Black -- far beyond "and the catholics" or "black francis", he had apparently been working in dozens of genres and written more than five thousand songs. Many of which had been subsequently covered by other artists (as with early Tom Waits ballads... then Frank goes and covers The Black Rider? Hm). Apparently he had all of these because he worked with Frank finding people to sell the songs to. I was seriously impressed, and we talked about what it would take to write more than five thousand good songs.
And then he wanted to know about my music, because I had mentioned it off-hand. He was genuinely interested in hearing it, so I got out an index card and tried to write down my name and phone number and web site.
EVERY SINGLE TIME I made a horrible mistake (like, spelling my name wrong) and the pen just wouldn't obey me. Sometimes instead of writing letters I'd make dots on the paper where keys on a keyboard would spell things. It was a horrible mess and it makes me want to practice my penmanship.

In other news: remember how I was going to make cartoons? Ha ha I sure tricked all of you. OR DID I?!
