Other Ian at one point thought that Massimo Pigliucci is a proponent of postmodern philosophy. Massimo pointed out that, no, he is not in fact, a postmodernist.
While Massimo is not a postmodernist, he does seem to be sympathetic toward anti-realism in the philosophy of science.
The funny thing about anti-realism is that, to someone who is not familiar with it, it certainly does seem to resemble postmodernism just enough to throw things into confusion, and yet is also just different enough from postmodernism for anti-realists to say, "No! That's not postmodernism!"
So I can easily see how Ian mistook anti-realistic arguments for postmodernist ones.
