(The clever ones know that this post will contain spoilers for all we've seen of Torchwood so far. I'm just not seeing why I should make a cut, sorry. And I'm leaving this post public just in case someone stumbles across it. I won't change my opinion about this ( Read more... )

This is a real open post. You know that I don't like some things in series 3, but as you already said.. it was totally thrilling, well written and shows fantastic skill of all the actors taking part. I don't hate that whole show now and I will carry on being a fan. I just don't see any point in another series and yeah then they stopped it at its peak which is really a clever thing. Better than fans complaining of how boring the show's going to be and stop watching it. It's just such a depressing series, especially the last 2 days. Well, I can't re-watch this series at the moment, it's all too sad. I sure will do one day and going to buy the DVD when it's cheaper. So for me TW has not died as for some others

I simly think that they should better end it now than bringing a totally different show back. That's just my opinion on it at the moment. I could live with the fact that that's it for the Torchwood series.

Exactly. It was depressing and cruel and gruesome but all in all such a fantastic mini series. I love almost everything about it.

And yep, Jack has become very Doctor-ish. I pointed that out in my episode review yesterday. He already was very Doctor-ish in Doctor Who series one and I think he's most like him when he turns and runs. That's what the Doctor would have done.

Hm, I just don't think it would work out with another series. We'd have Gwen (as a mother now) and probably Lois. And I'm sorry, I just can't look at Gwen as a leader. True, she developed quite a lot but I don't think she's got great skills to lead a team.
Also, it would probably cheapen this wonderfully heartbreaking ending of Torchwood.
Still, as I said, I'd watch it. Just for the sake of it, just to see how they'll manage now.

You were definitely one of the people which I called "decent", no worries :) It's mainly the communities I skimmed. Damn, was I frustrated.
But you get idiots with everything you love, I suppose.

Yeah... I was told that some so called fans even want the threaten RTD at the Con.. what kind of "fan" is doing such things? That's more than stupid. I loved the TW/DW fandom for the fans usually seem to be reasonable.Right you've always have some weirdoes here and there.

God, not really. I mean, of course he has to expect questions now, but threats? God, they are all bonkers. All of them.

Sure he will be bombarded with questions and I guess even John will be a victim of thoses questions during his La Cage time in London. If I am going to meet him I sure would not do anything like this. He must be totally fed up with it then. Yeah.. that's totally bonkers and I hope they are coming to their senses. It's a bloody series and nothing that happened in reality *doh*

Uh, I guess the "coming to their senses" will take a while. I've got that sort of feeling T__T
Oh, and did you know that the DVDs are 5 pound cheaper over at Amazon? It's a shame, because if you start ordering it there you still have to pay for the imports xD and in the end you've got the same price as play.com ... meh. But 15 pound would be all right with me. Without the export costs.

Yeah, I think they won't come to their senses easily *doh*

Well it's a bit more than 20 EUR at Play.com at the moment. The problem with Amazon is that you pay more than they show you at first. It's a bit complicate, but the British VAT is less than ours. So they cancel their VAT and put on ours and so every item is more expensive as it seems at first. At Play.com you know for sure what you are going to pay. Took me quite a while to figure out what Amazon.co.uk are doing and why the prices are never the ones you read on their site.

I will definitely wait some time until the DVD is cheaper. I even can't re-watch the series at the moment and so I have no problem waiting for it.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Because even now if amazon is currently cheaper, in the end it's just as much (if not more) as with Play.com. Hopefully they'll get down with that price a little more. Only a little.
Oh, I'm really keen in watching the extras, if there are any.

Yeah, I really hope so too. I sure will buy the DVD, but wait for a better price.

"-Torchwood Declassified: An exclusive look behind-the-scenes featuring Cast and Crew
-Torchwood In the Shadows: Audio Clip read by Eve Myles"

that what Play.com states as extras.

Hm. Doesn't sound bad. I'm all for a Declassified! Maybe we even get commentaries? That'd be nice.

Dunno. Nothing about this yet. But I guess next week we'll know more when the first copies have arrived.
