Speaking of textbooks

A thread on another forum whining about unused textbook materials just reminded me of something. This weekend I was doing a little housekeeping and decided to go through the last year's school materials and sort them into piles to keep readily accessible, piles to store away for the future, and piles to sell or recycle.

I have to say I was pretty surprised at how big the pile of materials was for the full year of organic chemistry. Even more amazing is the fact that we actually covered 100% of the textbook, something I've never ever experienced before.

On the left we have the solutions guide, the main textbook, ACS study guide, peer led problems book, laboratory texts, copy packets, and notebook,  3 full single-subject spiral binders, a stack of tests and quizzes, all capped off with a few hundred flashcards. The stack of paper on the right is made up of notes and printouts that are all archived online so I'm going to recycle the paper copies.

So that's where my year went!!!

omg, school
