oh, Di ... I know we've never met in person, but I have seen a picture of you (somebody in Med shared it ... oh, I don't remember when). I remember thinking ... "hmm, she's cute irl, too."
... Because what I like the best about the person I know is her bubbly happiness, her ability to laugh at her own silliness, and her heart that embraces everyone dear to her. You exude a joyfulness and beauty from your soul that far-and-away overshadows anything you see in your bathroom mirror.
I don't want to dismiss your concern because it obviously worries you greatly. I just want you to remember those scrawny models and covergirls are airbrushed six ways from Sunday to create these stupid ideals we are bombarded by everyday. But in candid (maybe even "too much information"?) conversations with the men I know, they don't really like the skin-and-bones look. I'd bet your husband would say the same.
Affirm to yourself everyday that you are more beautiful today than you were all those years ago because now you have more experience, more maturity, and a more interesting personality. ... And you will only continue to improve through the years. You are an amazing woman!
You're pretty special yourself, kitty, so open and honest, always giving of yourself to everyone and every last little kitty around. :) *Snugs* Thank you for your kind words. It's hard to see the beauty of a little stream when you really wanted to go swimming in a lake. Perhaps I should take the hint and just wash my feet instead of swimming? *smile*
