I have to tell you my Muse has finally paid a visit, and I am writing again on my omnibus novel Broken Pieces since I decided I might try self-publishing via Amazon Kindle. Chapter 5 is going nicely and I am so happy about it even if only a few people check this one out after it's done. I feel I need to put it out there. Having work I am proud of (even if no one else likes it) sitting on my comp is just not right :-)
I have also decided to write another adventure novel set in quasi medieval times; the outline is blurrily coming together. This one will be in English. It will be centred around 2-3 characters, although more keep popping up... Once the decision was made, I just felt relief. Since I read so much in English, and still adore its idioms and phrases after so many years, it comes more naturally to me. Croatian sounds so dry, to me at least. Or there is just no mystery there.
I am also so very tired of the Croatian publishing industry and with the fact that only “celebrities’” books and badly written romance novels dominate the market. Yes, alas, Fifty Shades of Grey is popular because you can see it in every corner and even the national tv house called the author for an interview. Where the hell is this world going to when such badly written and badly constructed smut is hugely popular?!
But to end this rant on a more positive note... I just saw this video of Pink, which I absolutely adored. The choreography is amazing, and although it seems a bit disturbing I loved the moves and the emotions and just everything about it.
