Funny story
This weekend, I felt a little bit like a teenager again. Went with my friend and fiancee for dinner & drinks @ TGI Fridays. When time came to order drinks, I got my usual iced tea, and my friend orders apple martini. This is where the fun started. Of course, since this time she didn't have her license on her, she was actually carded. Lots of convincing and sweet talking the waitress didn't help, and she wouldn't bring her the drink. So, Mike turns around and orders Apple Martini, and him trying to be slick he asks me in Russian, "can you order Heineken for me?" Not thinking that Heineken sounds same in Russian & English. So, I order the Heineken, and in turn my friend orders iced tea for me. Since the execution of our drink swap was not the smoothest, the waitress was on to us. She says, I'll be watching you, and if you guys start switching drinks, I will take them away. So, we start laughing and decide to leave to get her license. The entire way back home, we were cracking up, and thinking that if we actually were under 21, we most likely would've gotten those drinks without any problems. At the end we ended up going to Applebees w/ the ID in hand, but of course, no one carded us that time.
