Day Two of school being back in session, and we're just starting to settle into a routine around here. I've gotten a good bit of writing work done already this morning, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Especially since it's absolutely frigid outside and this coffeeshop has taken that as a sign to... crank up the A/C???
I finished a proofreading project and am working my way through revisions on the second chapter of Percussion. This chapter needs more sexual tension and a new scene with Andy's boss to round out a new subplot I'm developing. Right now, I'm working on the sexual tension end of things. [sexual tension goes here] just isn't going to cut it in this draft. ;)
As for the new subplot, it can be kind of frustrating to realize that the solution to motivational issues that've been bugging me since outlining the first draft is sitting right in front of me in the form of occupational pressure. Oops! But it does add a depth to several characters that they've been lacking.
Later this afternoon, I'll be heading to the local farmer's market to pick up some fresh green beans and maybe a watermelon. I've got a new pressure canner coming in the mail tomorrow and I want to give it a test run with the green beans. And there's a recipe for watermelon jelly that's been tempting me for weeks...
It's a good thing BabyBug enjoys trips to the farmer's market!
