I made napkins! They were a lot easier than I thought they'd be. I guess I should've realized, what with them being square and all, that they wouldn't be too tricky. They were a lot of fun to make, too.
I cut and pressed the fabric, then pressed folds along the edges, twice over. Once I had the folds pinned in place, I took my napkin squares to the sewing machine and hemmed it all up, popping the foot up with the needle down to rotate the fabric for the corners.
They're a little smaller than I'd intended, due to a measuring error on the first napkin I cut, but they came out beautifully, if I do say so myself.
The fabric was a remnant I picked up at the craft store when I was looking for fabric to
make stockings with. Once I'd made the stockings, I wasn't sure what to do with this other fabric, so I set it aside. When I woke up the next morning, though, I knew what I wanted to do. I'd seen a few patterns and instruction sets online for making cloth napkins, and I knew this fabric would be perfect for some fun holiday napkins for Kucios and Christmas Day.
I'm so excited to get to use them for the first time!
