Happy New Year!
If how you ring in the new year forecasts what you will be doing
during that year, I will be playing a lot of cards. Saturday, I went
over to Eva's and played 5000 and canasta, then I went over to another
friend's house and together we taught a third friend how to play
bridge and were doing that until 1 AM. The Sunday, I went back to
Eva's and again played 5000 and canasta. I've had my fill and will lay
off of cards until time for canasta in the morning.
I will need to call a plumber tomorrow (so as to not get charged for a
holiday visit) to fix both my bathrooms. In one the toilet is running
and has been running all weekend. In the other the toilet is leaking
and needs a new wax seal. I was going to get someone else to install
the wax seal, but if I have to have a plumber for one thing, I may as
well get him to do both.
I need to practice my clarinet...I've been out of lessons for two
weeks and have not touched it the whole time. It's rainy today and I
don't plan to leave the house, so I will practice the clarinet, read
my book club book and prepare the schedule for this week's services.
