I am such a sucker for fall fashion. I seriously can't wait for the weather to start getting cold. I really have to start using the 2-2-2 rule. Madewell is KILLING me. I'm so obsessed. It's such a bummer that the heatwaves are coming so late this year. I'm predicting that within my lifetime, fall weather won't kick in until December.
These plaid shirts remind me so much of Piper's brother in Orange is the New Black. So adorbs though! I probably won't be getting them in the end.
OMG I want this jacket SO BAD, but I already have two military-esque jackets already. I wish that this came in other colors, like navy blue or burgundy.
AND IN OTHER NEWS... I'm TA-ing for microbiology this semester, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it way more than I thought I would. I absolutely enjoy helping people learn. Sometimes I think about getting a teaching credential... but then I remember how hard it is to find a job right now. Bummer. If I could go back and start undergrad all over again, I think that I would love to major in microbio. F A S C I N A T I N G beyond anything I ever learned in my economics classes.
There's this guy in the microbio lab that I already know is going to be tons of trouble... but fun trouble. They did their first inoculations on Wednesday; it just a really simple one where they just had to spread their bacteria onto a TSA slant and incubate it. Someone asked while Boyer was demonstrating how to do it if they had to stab the agar with the needle, and he said no. Well, this kid TOTALLY stabbed the agar and then asked Boyer if he was doing it right. I think he got too scared to ask Boyer for a new tube, so he asked me. No problem. THEN... they did their cheek swabs to look at their cheek cells under the microscope. Boyer told them to gently swab the inside of their cheek for a few seconds... but this guy was SERIOUSLY GOING TO TOWN. I mean, we're just trying to get a cheek cell sample... not a blood sample. I think he's my favorite right now. He makes my days fun.
