Unnnh!

So we were at Bordello last night, getting our Wig Out on. E- & J- were not wearing wigs, but I dug one out for the occasion. Paired with a zesty little 50's era cocktail dress and skyscraper wing-tip pumps, I was good to go.

The first act was a fun duo called The Swords of Fatima. They sounded like an amalgam of arabic rock and beach blanket bingo, but it worked, it totally worked. Here's them doing one of their signature tracks: Mo-Rock-O.

Then we had some time to get liquored up before the cabaret acts. I had a nifty French martini and some zucchini fries. It was shortly afterwards that I saw her.

Hair: 20's style pin-curls, complete with golden circlet.

Hands: classically trained dancer, no doubt about it.

Body: smooth skinned, draped in long strings of pears, and rained on with glitter. Hips flaring in that way that magazine girls aren't allowed to because it makes people think about something besides the clothes. Gently rounded tummy -- not flat, not fat, just there for you to rest your cheek on, you know, afterwards.

She was dancing. On stage. Belly-dancing to the tune of a carefully played saw blade. Yeah, you heard me, saw blade. The other lady had a cello bow and was dragging it gently across her vibrating saw.

I was riveted. Stunned.

But alas,  don't know her name. Or even the name of her act.

I may never see her again!

Somebody -- help me!

femmy femmy goodness, clubbing, life goes on
