New Story Accepted
Two stories submitted. One's a yes.
The rejected tale was one that I penned during my medfet days. I'd just finished Sandeep Jauhar's Intern and was looking for a place to apply my newfound knowledge of the trials of future doctors. So of course i wrote a kinky story.
The editrix wouldn't admit it, but in the absence of any other data I'll decide to think that she got squicked by the breathplay. "Too many submissions" rings hollow. If there was some problem with the writing, I think she would have mentioned it when I asked.
The second one has been accepted by good old circletpress for their upcoming pirate anthology Like a Treasure Found. Editor Joy Crelin actually gave me the chance to do a rewrite. The original had too much head-jumping. chibinecco in particular knows I do this. Through work on our shared fiction I'm trying to improve . Luckily, since the chibster and I have been discussing this a fair bit lately so I knew exactly what Joy was talking about and how to fix it. After a quick rewrite, she deemed it suitable.
Yay of great yay-itude.
The anthology will likely come out as an e-book only, which is good news for friends who want to read my stuff on the cheap. And how cool is it that the whole book is stories about pirates? I'm all in a lather to see what other people did with this theme.
Anyway they would like a bio. Suggestions for what to put in?
