"Can I?" he breathed against her neck. He pressed her to the couch. Kissed her tenderly. "Can I please?"
She sighed contentedly. "Mm…"
"That’s not an answer."
"Gert will be home soon."
"That’s not, either."
He moved his hips against her. She coiled a hand in his hair. "What’s gotten into you?"
Dale sat up and sighed. "I… Dreamed you died. You drowned."
"Dale," she giggled. "I don’t even swim."
He frowned at the carpet. "I know."
Gert burst through the door before he could continue that thought. She was sodden and angry.
"We live in a desert and it’s rained for a week straight!" she snapped. "Not cool."
Dale shuddered and got off of the couch.
