Summary: Janet apparently does not function well before dawn.
She was sitting on the island, staring out the kitchen window when he came in for coffee. He waved a hand in front of her face. She was dead to the world.
"Janet, maybe you should go to bed," he said.
"Wanna watch sunrise," she replied.
Victor glanced out the window. "Babe, that’s west."
"I know."
"The sun rises in the east, baby."
She blinked sleepily at him. "Oh. Yeah."
Victor poured two cups of coffee, dropping sugar in one and taking a sip of the other. He handed her the sweetened one.
"You know, our bedroom faces east," he said.
She glared at him. "You just want me to go to bed with you."
Victor quirked an eyebrow guiltily. "Well, I certainly wouldn’t object."
He situated himself between her knees and leaned forward to kiss her. She moved to meet him and missed his mouth.
"Babe, bed," he said.
She frowned. "Just cause I missed once…"
"More like because you’re going to fall off of the island if you stay up there."
Victor set his coffee and hers down in a relatively safe spot. He ran his hands around her waist and helped her down to the floor.
"C’mon. I’ll even bring the coffee, and we can have coffee and watch the sunrise," he offered.
She slipped her hand into his and followed him up the stairs.
