093: Glimpse
Dale smirked and paused in the office to watch Maneater. The cannibal must have thought them gone. He opened the door and stuck a hand in to deposit a package on the nearest flat surface.
And got an eyeful of Stacey, half-naked.
Forget-Me-Not hung off of Dale’s shoulders. He brushed her off.
Maneater didn’t move for a long moment.
"She’s beautiful, isn’t she?" Dale teased.
Maneater jumped and spun, closing the door as quickly as he could. "Ah. I’m sorry. I thought you were both out."
"If you stop gaping at my wife, I’ll forget about this," Dale offered in a sing-song voice. He waved his finger and winked.
Maneater snapped around and walked off, passing Dale and very carefully not touching him. Dale smirked. Stacey would not be hearing of this. She would never come back.
He knocked and walked in, finding his wife bent over the package.
"Maneater eyes me like I’m lunch," she complained.
"I think that’s his twisted little way of wanting your body."
She threw a screwdriver at him. He ducked. It hit the door with a clank and Maneater stuck his head in.
"Did you need something?"
