SAIPAN.....YAHOO!
Inquiring minds want to know how my time in Saipan has been, so I have compiled a list of reasons why this is THE GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!
- First of all, there is an outdated food section (or "pet food" as it is labeled) in almost every grocery store. I LIVE for this aisle. Cheap food that always come with an adventure inside (picking out the bugs, wondering if you'll get sick, is that date correct?) It's PHENOMENAL!
- Everyone looks like my dad...Hawaiian shirt, big round tummy, short and brown....now that's hilarious!
-I made the front page of the newspaper (a picture!) within two weeks of getting here....not a big deal!
- "BODIES ON FIRE!" This entails Angelo in a speedo "establishing" himself as a model in a fashion show!
- MANGOES GALORE!
- I can tan on my roof naked. I just hope that the house on the hill doesn't own binoculars. My B...
- MOR-MAN! There are all kinds of friendly mormons on this island...
- Flip flops are considered to be sport shoes, dressy shoes, job interviewing shoes, rainy shoes...
- If you're on time, you are a loser. This means I will be SO COOL.
- I was introduced to the best song ever: 'African queen'!!! :)
- I can now gut a fish.
- I can pick flowers and put them in my hair....for free!
- 2 hour long power outages per day always keeps people on their toes.
- The friendliest people I've EVER met!
- The locals are obsessed with....FOOD!!! It's like a dream come true for me!! All they do is eat...all the time....for any occasion!
- Can I just say that there are SEVERAL $3 clothing stores here....HEAVEN!
-Uh, I have a friend named "Ethelbert." How awesome is that name? Find me an "Ethelbert" in the states....
- I can afford to go to the Philippines for Christmas!
- Eating like a monkey is widely accepted. And you KNOW that's how I eat!
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!!! I think this is where I was supposed to grow up! I must have gotten separated at birth, dag nab it. Anyway, school starts on August 3 and I am UBER EXCITED! YES!!!! I miss and love you all back home but this place is just too much fun!
