I shouldn't even be surprised. I knew something was up when it stated that it would be a "state crime" to be in the country illegally.
state crime=prison time. They're going to fill these private prisons with immigrants.
How does a private prison work?
A company runs the prison intending to make a profit, they are hired as contractors by the government to design, build and manage the prison.
The government then pays the company per prisoner/per day. In other words, the more people that are in jail, the more money these companies make.
So in the end, we (taxpayers) are going to end up paying more for illegal immigrants. You hear that? that's Russell Pearce flushing the rest of our money down the toilet.
