Rachy visits and we get tattoos
For the past four days I have had the pleasure of eraticschematic's company. There is nothing like when your bestie comes to visit, is there? But alas, she left this morning.
During her visit we:
1. Got tattoos
2. Saw Harry Potter twice
3. Existed in a state of pure awesome
Here is my tattoo:
often_adamanta and I have been discussing this phrase for years as a tattoo, and I've always wanted it on my wrist. I think that is the part I was the most nervous about, having it somewhere so visible. But I know my current boss doesn't care, and I have lots of cuff bracelets that cover it. I may also take to wearing a watch again if I need to, or tying scarves/handkerchiefs around my wrist as bracelets, too, I think that looks hot.
The font is handwritten by me, but it's a bit more stylized than my natural handwriting.
The phrase itself comes from a book that often_adamanta and I read in high school, Sophie's World, and it refers to a concept that I always adored in astronomy classes (some of you may recall that I started university as an astronomy major). Every atom in our bodies, in our world, was created inside a star that has exploded. When I think about that, I feel connected to the universe, and I know my tiny place in it.
I haven't started reading people's Harry Potter reviews yet, but I loved it. *Dark Lord hugs!*
