Note to ice: go away.

Since it's been too icy to run lately, I've been confined to exercising indoors. Well, actually, the too icy statement is not entirely true -- I've just been too chicken to take my chances.

Anyway, I thought I would post some photos I took the last time I got to run outside, almost two weeks ago. My usual loop takes me from Sidney-Pacific (my building), towards the BU bridge, along the Charles River/BU, and back along the Mass. Ave bridge. Sometimes, if I'm feeling extra daring, I keep going past the Massive bridge, and take the Longfellow bridge back to Cambridge. I prefer to go right around sunset, when the river gets a really beautiful golden glow.

This first one is taken from the BU Bridge. Cambridge is on the left (I think the building on the left is the Harvard Boathouse), and Boston is straight ahead.

Also taken from the bridge, looking down at the traintracks that run below.

And this is what my view looks like for about half of my run, along the river. I thought the log "floating" on top of the river is really cool :)
