it's days like today where I absolutely worship the earth and mother nature. everything about the weather today was absolutely perfect. perfect temperature. perfect gentle breeze. perfect amount of sunshine.
a perfect day for a walk in the park. which is exactly what steve and I did. and with the perfect boyfriend, I realized I live in the most perfect place - for me that is.
this park, you see, is about 100 yards outside my front door and is this perfect little haven in the middle of my big city world (everything you could ever need including target, the grocery store, the liquor store and chipotle is all within a 6 block radius). there's a man made pond - but that doesn't bother the pairs of ducks looking for a few bread crumbs. in the summer you can paddleboat with your sweetie and in the winter ice skate until your toes turn numb. There's mini-golf and lawn bowling and an ampitheater offering a free soundtrack to summer. I'm really looking forward to my first summer here - and hopefully my fantasies of taking long walks after dinner with steve or walking to the movie theater to catch a Sunday matinee, or sitting on a bench and reading, eventually materialize into reality.
but even if it doesn't - this place allows me to have those idealistic dreams, which is perfect enough in itself.
