37 days to go...

More recapping. Last night Kelly and I walked down to Darling Harbor to watch the tail end of the jazz festival. It was really cool - the amphitheater was actually in the water - we stood on a bridge and listened. We recognized most of the songs and it was beautiful night so I really enjoyed myself. Again, I wished Steve was there to share with me. It would have been a perfect night for snuggling and kissing. After the concert, we met Jess and Lindsay to watch the fireworks, which were not as spectacular as we were expecting. There were definitely some cool ones, but it really only last for like 5 or 10 minutes. I’m going to miss seeing fireworks back home on July 4th!

Today, we (Jess, Lindsay, Allison, Kelly, Nick, Nate, Dave and myself) went to Bondi beach which was nice. I think I liked it better than Manly beach (although riding the ferry there was nice), but it still doesn’t compare to Kaanapali. We just camped out on the beach for a few hours and then took a little stroll around the sea side town. If my family was here, or I was here with Steve I would have done some shopping, but I didn’t want to make the group stop and wait. In fact, the group dynamics still suck - no one can make any decisions. After walking down the main strip, no one could decide what they wanted to do, so Kelly and I hopped a bus back here. I was talking with Jess - and I think I’ll mention this when on my evaluation - I wish there was a little more structure to our weekends. Not in the sense that they forced you to go anywhere, but certain activities that were planned (with transportation provided) that you could either choose to participate in or not. I think that would allow for the group to bond a little bit more, rather than worry about what other people want.

Tonight we’re just taking things easy - but I’m definitely missing a bunch of things from home. Here’s a list of stuff I’d like to have when I get home:

Mom’s spaghetti
Mom’s cookie dough
Subway sandwich
Fetticuine alfredo
Papa Murphy’s pizza
Hot dogs (with onions!)
Deviled Eggs

I’m sure I’ll think of more stuff, but that’s all for now!
