UGH...I am so far behind with this thing!
I've been between home and school during the break so far, and now i'm home for awhile while I help my mom clean the basement.
but I'm happy at home...home cooked meals are wonderful. although i have been doing some cooking for steve, which i always enjoy, along with helping his brother Bryan paint their place.
painting has made me excited for getting my own place. i can't wait to have my own home, and be in charge of what goes where, and more importantly, what messes are made. I'll likely try to find a roommate, but at least I can make decisions about putting holes in the wall (for cable and stuff). It'll be nice also to just have that space that's "mine." I know I have my room at school, but the rest of the house is community space. i'm also looking forward to entertaining - being a martha stewart of sorts, and having people over with good food, wine, and just having a good time. i'm so girly, it's sickening sometimes
new years eve also really flared my desire to get my own place. i really don't want to go into much detail since it's a horrible story (i.e IT WAS THE WORST NEW YEARS EVE EVER) and i'll doubt i'll forget it (or maybe, hopefully I'll be able too) anytime soon. oh well, it's all over, but i still feel weird about it.
i really need someone to scratch my back it itches like hell...
steve and i went to a wedding on the 2nd, which was pretty fun (steve was an usher). I really enjoy weddings and i respect everyone's personal choices, but there were certain things i would have done differently. i thought the pastor's homily was WAY too long (like AT LEAST 20 minutes), and the reception venue was too small for the amount of people. It was at the St. Anthony Main Event Center, and it was weird that you entered on the bottom floor, and went through the receiving line, then went upstairs for dinner, then back downstairs for dancing. I did really like the romantic aspect of it being dark outside during the ceremony. The church was dimly lit and decorated beautifully, so I really enjoyed that part. Overall, Steve and I had a good time.
i guess that's all i have to say right now...i'm off to bed!
goodnight all!
