late...
so it's late...and i probably should be sleeping - but alas i'm not so here's an update.
i've been having trouble sleeping lately...of course right now it's because i took a nap from 4 - 5 pm today...but i can't decide if it's caused by a) i can't get used to my old bed after sleeping in the bed i had at the apartment all year or b) i don't really do anything during the day and therefore I'm just really not tired
or it could be that i'm always thinking about a million things before i fall asleep - i should try to break that habbit.
anyways...life is good.
this past weekend (i know it's already tuesday) was really fun. Friday night I just stayed home, did some reading and some cleaning - which was good. I only have 5 days left to accomplish my list of things that i set out to do. We'll see how that turns out. My room is in the process of getting cleaned, I started my scrapbook (but i need to get more paper, and I've just been to lazy to go to the store to get some more), I've read for the assignments I need to do, but I haven't touched my dirty mess of a car. Here's to procrastinating!
saturday was an AWESOME day. First steve and i went and saw "Dracula" on the U of M Centennial Showboat. My new job is "marketing associate" for the showboat, so I needed to go see what i was going to be marketying. My friend Adam (who sadly I haven't kept in contact) from high school was Dracula and he was AMAZING. it was so much fun and steve and I truly enjoyed ourselves.
After that we hung out with dave and nicole. we went bowling and then went back to their place for cards and games. It was a TON of fun - i haven't had that good of a time in who knows how long. Steve and I genuinely enjoyed ourselves and the time flew by! I'm excited to hang out with them again soon - and this time it won't be eight months later!
It's been fun to catch up with so many people I haven't seen for awhile. Seeing Adam, Dave and Nicole, and I just talked to Jake today on the phone. It really makes me feel good that I know so many cool and fun people.
yesterday i went with erin to the fair which was also a blast. How did i get so lucky to have such good friends?
in other unrelated news...
i have decided to give up french fries. they're always such an "opportunity food," in that they come with everything, and I merely eat them because they are on my plate. They're bad for you, so i've decided to be strong and resist. We'll see how it goes...
of course, nevermind the occasional mcdonald's run however when i've had a few ;-)
