helllllllllo folks!

so you're probably wondering where I've been...

or maybe not.

but anyways, here begins summer, and here begins infrequent and sporadic updates. I apologize. It just happens. My summer is filled with classes (and of course homework), my internship, subbing at the front desk (i need to make SOME money!), and more fun stuff like my 21st birthday, concerts, bbq's, trip to Chicago for fun and the family reunion, and Steve's and my trip to Vegas over 4th of July weekend. it'll be busy for sure, but i'm excited.

so...what is new with me....

my new roommates moved in for the summer, and it's been a bigger adjustment than i thought it would be. while they aren't annoying me or anything (well maybe one, a little) it's just weird having people live here that don't know the system that we previously had in place - with chores and locking the door, and stuff like that. And it's not like we have to do everything exactly the way we did it before, but we need to come up with some kind of system, but it's hard to find us all in the same place at the same time.

granted, i've been gone a whole lot. steve and I were at X-Fest on Saturday which was fun because of the time I got to spend with Steve, but I wasn't impressed by the bands. Since Steve got free tickets we only went for like 5 hours on Saturday, just to see The Ataris and Sum 41. I enjoyed the Ataris but Sum 41 was drunk and annoying.

once again i have been reaffirmed (i think that's a word), that the reason that steve and I are as happy as we are is our ability to communicate with each other. for reasons that don't need to be mentioned, I was upset on Saturday while on the way to Xfest. So i told steve about it, and it turned out that he didn't understand the way i was feeling, which I accepted because there's it's hard to get someone to understand YOUR feelings. but we left it at that, and moved on. no grudges, no hard feelings, just a couple of minutes to catch my breath and calm down, and all is good. it just works out that way. it's really nice.

steve started his new job today, for which I'm very proud of him, and also excited for him. He's working for a company that he was a college marketing rep before he graduated. Now he's in the sales division doing work with DVD's and computer software. So if you know him personally, shoot him an e-mail that says "Yay you!" :-) I'm so proud of you! :-)

you all know about my constant obsession on why people the way they are. some people are just VERY VERY strange. Yesterday when steve and i were over at his brothers house for brats, i read this article in Rolling Stone. BEFORE you read it though, it's about some guy with a 13 penis. It is so crazy - because he's so weird about it - like twirling it like a propeller in front of the guy that wrote the article. It's so weird because it's like his power in his world, he revels in the attention. It's sickening and I pity the guy because he only knows how to socialize when it involves his penis.. So if you want to read it go to www.rollingstone.com/mrbig Don't tell me I didn't warn you though. it's just creepy.

ANYWAY...how did i get on that subject?

i should probably go to bed soon considering I have to get up early to go to golf class. yup, i'm taking golf for three weeks so i can learn how to play. I figure it's the cheapest way to learn golf, since private lessons cost a fortune, and it's one credit!

oh and since i'm sure you're all DYING to know who i'm cheering for to win the Stanley Cup, my pick is New Jersey. My reasoning being that, while Anaheim is a good team, and they're playing very well, they have made it this far because of their goalie. And even though life is never fair, I don't think it's fair that a team that relied on ONE person, instead of everyone should be rewarded with hockey's top prize. If anaheim wins the cup I'm petitioning for only J.S Geguire (I have no clue how to spell it, and I don't feel like looking it up), or Jiggy's, name to be engraved on the cup. He got them there. I'm sure SOMEONE out there will find my opinion skewed or "not what hockey is about" or whatever. but i don't care, it's my opinion, that's the way i feel, and I don't feel like arguing about it.

which brings me to another point, does anyone else feel that sometimes debates are absolutely futile???? because so many people are so stuck in their beliefs that they are completely unwilling to see the other side, or at least understand where the person is coming from. so where does it end up? NO WHERE.

ok, that's all for today folks. hopefully i'll update again before the end of the summer. Last summer I posted like may 11th, and then not again until August 8th. We'll see how it goes.

Have a great one!
