This is Seattle?!

Tonight we're supposed to get heavy rain, hail, and wind. Then the temperatures are supposed to drop and we should have snow and temperatures in the mid 20s to mid 30s tomorrow. On the news the other night, they reported that in the past 3 months Washington has gotten 30" of rain. Typically, Washington gets 37" of rain annually! Crazy.

Here is how my commute looks tonight: )

Hey, where do you get maps like that?

The map in my screenshot is specific to Washington. It's the Washington State Department of Transportation: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/seattle/

Here is California's Department of Transportation page, but it's not as easy to navigate as Washington's: http://www.dot.ca.gov/roadsandtraffic.html

But I found a couple of other real-time traffic sites for the Bay Area that you might want to check out:

Sweet...

Thanks, that is very helpful. (Not that my commute is anything to talk about, but still, good to know.)

The 511.org page is my favorite for checking bay area traffic. It sometimes loads a bit slow, but it's very accurate and helpful. Luckily my commute is only 15 minutes, so even on the most horrible days it only bumps up to around 25.
