Pike Place Market
Today I went to Pike's Place to see what all the fuss is about. It's a pretty neat place, but I didn't get to see any flying fish. The great thing about the market is that you can buy a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables for a great price. I bought some vine ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, nectarines, and peaches. I even found a cheese shop across the way from the market where I got some fresh mozzarella.
But the main reason I went to Pike's today of all days was to see a free concert by Soul Asylum. Remember them from way back when? I guess they're going to release a new album soon, so this was part of a promotional stint. Their new stuff sounds pretty decent, but it was definitely not as catchy as "Runaway Train."
