I think kicking him in the balls would be cathartic but it'd be like doing it to a bear. It'd just piss him off. Probably the only really reason Sam HASN'T gone that route yet. ;)

Wow, I thought the boys showed amazing self control considering what a total vindictive ass their father is being. Loved Ellen Harvelle in this, and Dean's careful management of all the very touchy family dynamics. Also: the fact that the boys were contemplating anti-possession tats.

What an update.

The fact that Dean is finally seeing the shit that Sam put up with and the question he thinks about is how long will Sam put up with it now???? The two of them against the world and I like how the Tattoos came up - too bad we didn't see that in the show but I like how you are bringing it around here.

I love situations where they're forced to see each other's PoV. For Dean, this honestly may be the first time he's had this side of John directed at HIM. It could help him to sympathize with Sam a little more, I would hope. But we'll have to see. Dean really does love his Dad, after all. Such a difficult dynamic to manage...
