Vatican City
We entered the world of AMAZING artistic masterpieces, sculptures, architectural works & decorations.
It was truly a humbling experience for us both.
Vatican City - The Vatican Museums
Vatican City - St. Peter's Basilica, St Peter's Square
Let's just say all other churches/cathedrals we came across pale in comparison when it comes to the interior design and architecture of St. Peter's Basilica.
No pictures would do the actual place justice, all I remember was us gaping in admiration at its magnificence.
Vatican City - Sistine Chapel (35 € per pax)
"Michelangelo's crowning achievement in painting", so good it's neck-breaking (ha!) because we stared and stared at the ceiling, trying to take his 4 years of work in.
Outside Vatican City
Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine
Colosseum - one of the 7 Wonders of the World needs little introduction. :)
Fountain of Trevi
"A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they are ensured a return to Rome." - Nope we didn't throw a coin into the fountain since we have zero intention of returning to Rome at all. :p
Spanish Steps
King and I were like, "What the hell, that's it?!" when the tour guide led us to the Spanish Steps.
There we met the infamous rose-sellers, whom we've heard, would hand you a bunch of roses and make you pay should you take the roses from them.
They tried to pull the stunt on us but we refused the roses and said, "NO" firmly.
