(no subject)
Summer is going alright I guess
I've started working for my dad, and not just for 4 or 5 hours a day, but for 35 hours a week for $10 an hour. So thats seven hours a day for the weekdays, or I can do less then and work some on Saturday. He doesn't care when I work or start, as long as I get it done. But I pretty much get out the door at 9am and come home around 4ish.
Mostly painting and stuff so far, but I've only been working about a week and a half. This morning I got a yucky job though. People in the parks put their leaves and pine needles in bags in the back of the park because people's yards don't look nice with leaves and stuff in them. Anyhow, I had to open them up because uh.. plastic and the earth don't mix.. they had been sitting there since last fall, so they were wet and rotting. Also, there were bugs and fat spiders and worms and slugs all over the bags. Not to mention that the bags are right next to the woods so I was being eaten by misquitos and even worse deer flies. I was bit all over my arms and some on my legs before deciding to quit that job early. I also saw a snake sunbathing on some of the bags. I wasn't even a 1/3 done.
For the rest of the day I painted the ceiling of a home that was 82-85 degrees. yayyy
But the work isn't that bad all the time. Usually I'm mowing, weedwacking, weedkilling, and painting. I even get paid when I'm not really working, like going to Ace to buy something I need, or waiting for my dad to finish something so he can give me something to do.
I'm going to be visiting Jon in 8 days. I'm leaving father's day and coming home the Sunday after. I miss him a lot, it'll be a great vacation.. just being with him.. mmmm. Then I'll have 5 weeks of work straight, and hopefully Jon will come to my house at the end of July or so. :-)
I was bit by a spider today at work, while opening those bags. Forgot to mention that. My ankle kind of hurts and is a little bit swollen. I hope it doesn't get in the way of work tomorrow.
I need to find something to do after I come home from work. Playing God of War II took up my time... but only for three days before I beat it. Ah welllll.. the internet and tv might just do.
