Well, that was a bit of a let down

I just got my first flame in ages. Unfortunately the person couldn't even be logged in when they flamed me, so I can't criticize them on their failtastic attempt at offending. I'll just do it here then.

Dear flaming idiot,

You fail at flaming and here is why:

1) You reviewed a story I haven't touched in roughly four years. I have not even been in the Supernatural fandom in that long. I don't care about my SPN stories anymore. I mostly keep them up because other people might still like them, and one was written on request to someone else.

2) Again, this story is four years old and about four hundred words. I know I've grown as a writer, I am not going to be offended when something old of mine is insulted. At least try flaming something I put effort into.

3) If you're going to hurl personal insults, make sure they'll actually offend. Calling me gay is not an insult. There are certainly people out there who would take offense; however, saying that to someone who enjoys writing slash should obviously be a useless endeavor. You might as well call me straight, it's no more true, and no more insulting.

I have an idea who wrote the flame, but I can't be certain so I won't message the person with any accusations. I'm just disappointed I can't reply and tell the reviewer off for doing such a poor job of flaming.

I'm sorry I haven't updated Winter Coat in about a month; however, I think I'm close to finished with the latest chapter.
