Yeah, Melanie and Marko were stunning and I reaaaallly liked Missy and Wadi's routine after watching it a second time (the first time I thought it was just a hot mess), BUT WHATEVER IVETA & NICK'S "QUICKSTEP OF DOOM" WAS PHENOMMMM - IT WAS FUN, THE MUSIC WAS FABBBB, THE DANCING WAS ONNNN, THE CHEMISTRY WAS THERE (SHUT UP I DON'T CARE THAT SHE COULD TOTALLY HAVE BEEN HIS BABYSITTER) AND IT WAS JUST OVERALL FLAW.LESSSSS.
HI GUYS, YOU'RE ADORABLE AND I LOVE YOU.
Honorable mention goes to Caitlynn - solid job. Not that I didn't kind of enjoy seeing Robert again (he seems more controlled and assured that in S7 - though he always did seem to do better in jazz when his moves could be tighter ok i'll stop rambling about robert he's not even in this season or is he??? all star maybe???), but I really wish we'd been able to see Mitchell dance it with her - I can only imagine how it would have gone, but I think it could have been pretty great. Or it could have totally sucked, we'll never know.
Sasha ate up Alexander in that piece and spit out what little was left of him. Girl needs a stronger parter who can keep up with her Sasha Fierce self. Also, the dance seemed like a Gravity rehash. ALTHOUGH, Alexander's fall at the end was superb - the way his body twisted and fell was crazy.
And UGH, you stuck Tadd with Jordan??? Why couldn't it have been Clarice like I wanted?? And I don't care that I only want them to pair up because they would be aestetically
pleasing to me. That, and they're both awesome and are 2 of my horses in this race.
Oh, and Ryan needs to not be on my screen anymore. Ricky can stay.
First eliminations: OR NOT. WTF SYTYCD? - NO eliminations tonight, when both Robert and Jordan were basically asking to be kicked off? (srsly jordan, what was that????). Obviuously Nigel didn't get the 2 people he wanted to evict in his first bottom 6 7 (sure money it was Ashley/Chris he was angling to kick off b/c of that trainwreck - yet kinda fun - hip hop). This better not lead to people I like being screwed next week.
And another note, but Miranda KILLED her solo - girl danced with abandon - as did Mitchell in his second solo (wtf show for continuing to make up rules as you go). But yeah, Robert and Jordan should have been sent home in my very honest opinion. HERE'S HOPING IT HAPPENS NEXT WEEK.
