I'm just gonna disregard that proposal at the end of tonight's episode (because we all know that wedding is never going to happen) and am going to choose to focus on what I cared about, which was that Tyra/Jason scene we got.
At the diner, we've got Riggin's sneaking a couple glances at Tyra. Fine. Then we've got Tyra sneaking a couple glances at Street while he's on a date with Lyla. I'm likin it. THEN, we have Tyra actually going over, sitting down and asking him what the hell he's doing. Awesome. I ship 'em. I can't help it. I want Tasor. And should Riggins/Lyla come from that as well, so be it.
As always, this episode was amazing. This show just on a whole freakin rocks. There wasn't one bad thing about tonight's ep (except no Landry, but whatever).
*Mr. & Mrs. Coach FTW. For real. They're real, they're funny, they're sexy, they just win at life.
*Loved Smash's mom. My mom watched with me, and now wants to be just like her. I told her good luck with that, as she's about as white as white can get.
*Jason/Herc always make me smile. Loved the drive-by and their talk at the raceway. Herc really is such a great friend, and he's so good for Jason.
*Jason and Buddy Garrety. Wow, that was intense. You really had to feel for Jason, but also see and understand where, as Lyla's father, Buddy was coming from. I think it brought a lot of harsh truths to Jason's attention that he hadn't considered before.
*Matt getting all excited discovering that hole in the defense on the game tape and coming up with plays. He's just so adorable when he's giddy.
*Julie seeming like she was a part of Matt's family was wonderful, and I LOVED when Matt's grandma pulled her into that hug at the bus station - pretty much telling her that she was considered family.
*And of course, the Tyra/Street interaction. I really like their vibe - even Herc's a fan! Street should totally follow his advice.
But WHAT are they doing to my Matt/Julie next week???? Freakin Smash ruins his life so he has to ruin my couple's???? Not cool at ALL. I think EmoMatt will be making a comeback very soon. Sad.
