I should have done some research
Used Fords are a terrible idea. You can tell I have absolutely no clue about cars, because anyone with common sense knows this. I don't know why I didn't look into it before I made this purchase.
Anyways, my 98' Ford Contour's transmission died. I purchased insurance for this car ($1000), which will cover 1/2 of the transmission.
I'm getting a rough quote that it is going to cost 2400. So it would only cost me 1200. I know that this model of Ford, the parts are expensive. I just find it hard to believe that this quote is accurate. It feels like he is overpricing the quote because he knows I have partial coverage on this.
Anyone have any insight on this?
