according to danika a fourteen year old 1st yr highschool student that i was talking to awhile ago from csa proclaims "social life is everything."
to this day and age: I'M STILL SITTING AT THE CHILDREN'S TABLE. You know how in family parties they seperate you into tables. apparently i'm still part of the childrens table..
i was surrounded by ages 5-14, 14 being the eldest and her name was danika blabbing away the importance of social life. I quote "if you were 'high-end' during grade school days, and feel it in your first yr highschool, you wish you didn't." on and on she kept talking in the dinner table how her life is so difficult being in highschool, academics vs. social life. she chooses her social life.
i sat there listening thinking to myself two things: 1) honestly i didnt care what she had to say. 2) amazing how their problems seem to sound as if they were bigger than everyone else's.
14 is an amazing age. your caught dreaming to become grown-up: acting and talking like one, yet you find yourself still very much a kid.
I'm 19... still trying to understand what i'm going through.
