lets make a cup of tea
Today was much fun.
Jared and I went to the beach with his friend Pat. the first 5 hours of which consisted of... really nice mustang, steaming engine, broken clamp, tow truck, too many people to fit in the tow truck, another tow truck, a taxi, an awesome taxi driver, a huge car dealership with a lot of $120,000 car lying about, lots of busy people who couldn't look at it or fix the one simple car problem, a rental car. then we went to the beach. it was glorious. the water was perfect and warm and the waves were unbelievable and overpowering and i felt so very alive. i just want to be a selkie. is that too much to ask for? i would like to dwell inside the water.
I also had an interview with this family with the baby and it went wonderfully. Naomi is wonderful and beautiful and so tiny and alert and strong and I like her so very much. And Juliana and Noel were both lovely people to be around and I think they liked me a lot and they're willing to pay $500 a week! that is rather overwhelming. they're generally cool parents and i think it would be a good match. so cross your fingers for me.
I spent the rest of the night in Harvard Square, remembering how much I love it there and feeling at peace with the world for a short time. except for that i really had to pee and it took me forever to find a joint that had one. that was not at all pleasant.
I've been dreaming insanity as of late. I am not sure where things end or begin.
