Do I post too much to this comm? XDD
I really liked this coloring I came up with a while ago, and I wanted to share it.

I find that this coloring works well with low-saturated/dull images.
1. Choose an image to work with. I chose
this picture of Kai from the GazettE's official myspace.
2. You can crop your image if you'd like. Since I was making an icon, I cropped it to 100x100 pixels. I usually like to crop my icons with some space on the side so I can have room for textures or text if I later decide to put it.
3. Kai's skin color looks really pale and could really use some color, so I created a Hue/Saturation Layer. I upped the Saturation under Master until his skin color started looking more lively to me.
My settings: Saturation: +57
4. His skin color still looked a bit pale to me, so I used a Levels Layer to add some reddish tones to his skin color.
My settings:
Red: Input: 68, 1.22, 249 | Output: 52, 255
5. I didn't quite like the red in his hair and vest/jacket thing so I used another Levels Layer to darken the icon so the reds weren't too obvious on the dark parts of the icon.
My settings:
RGB: Input: 11, 1.00, 255
6. Last step! The whites in the icon were too bright to me, so I added a Color Fill Layer, filled it with a dark color, and set the blending mode to Exclusion @ 100%.
Optional: If you think the icon looks too red, I suggest adding a Levels Layer to darken the dark parts of the icon. :)
