A certain man in gray skipped along the sidewalks, humming a playful tune. Many stopped just to wonder if this strange man was actually real. Not many men would just be out skipping and humming like this so cheerfully. With his quasi-eccentric appearance followed by his more than eccentric actions, Dust Specter was more than qualified to win the "Freak of the Hour" award. He may or may not have noticed the way people think of him, but either way, this is a man that does whatever he wants and thinks however he wants. Something so trivial like the "law" couldn't stop this man. Officer Meryl Silverbergh just may understand more about the man who had invited her to lunch.

"Ah, Meryl, Meryl, there you are!" Dust exclaimed, waving his arms vigorously, "I knew you weren't the type to skip out an a meeting! You really ARE an officer!" The man continued skipping over to the table where Meryl sat at. He joined her, joyful as can be.

Meryl looked around, and spotted what she could only assume was Dust. Well, at least she had a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach that the grown man skipping in her general direction was the guy she was looking for.

When he heard her name being called and saw him wave at her, her fears were confirmed. "Oh, you must be Mr. Spectre." She really, REALLY couldn't say anything else, so she decided to start with that.

It wasn't the kind of 'holy shit I am jumping out of my skin' scared that she was feeling right about now. No, this was the 'God, I really hope noone associates me with this nutcase' scared that was going through her mind right now.

Dust sat in front of Meryl, filled with the usual excessive happiness he exhibited daily. "Yep, Mr. Specter, that's me~" Dust replied, nodding, "But just call me Dust, if you want~ My friends call me Dusty," Leaning back on his chair, the Dusknoir let out a sigh of relief. "You know, it's been hard, moving around from city to city, from country to country... And the broadcast frequencies just get harder to intercept! I think, for the most part, I might just stay in Diamond City,"

"Yea, about the whole 'intercepting signals' thing." Meryl got right to the point. "I tried to tell you before that it's illegal, but you seemed to ignore me."
