The next person to open the door (with a fair bit of effort, due to the water in the way) was the ironically named FLUDD, completely soaked and dripping from head to toe, in time to be horrified at the floodwater mucking up everything below the knees of his spotless cafe floor.

But right now, for once, he was not in the mood to grab a bucket and start bailing. He looked very much like a person who lived in mud and hadn't been bathed, ever, and he trudged through the water like it was molasses. When he got to the counter, he spat or coughed water into his dirty sleeve, and said "drain cleaner".

Siren stared blankly at her first customer for a moment.

"I'm sorry, what did you say you wanted? Is that a kind of espresso?" she asked naively.

"Drain cleaner," he sputtered. "A fluid for cleaning pipes. I have had a very bad week."

She blinked and walked back to the storage room. What an odd request, she thought to herself. Still, anything to please a customer.

She emerged from the room awkwardly carrying what appeared to be a heavy jug of drain cleaner. Slipping a bit on the wet floor, she hauled it over to the counter and clunked it down.

"What size would you like that ... drain cleaner ... sir? Tall, Grande, or Vente?"

"Just pass me the container, if you please." he replied. He sounded like he was having trouble breathing.

Siren pushed the jug across the counter, still a bit confused but always happy to help.

"That will be... um..." She stared at the cash register for a moment. After glancing at the stack of empty cups behind the counter, and then back at the jug, she tapped some buttons on the keypad.

"Seventeen fifty four," she read aloud, proud of her honed problem-solving ability.

FLUDD drank the entire jug. He waited for a bit as the solution cleaned out his insides, and then he expelled it into the nearby garbage bin. "thank you" indeed. His breathing afterward sounded like he was gasping for air after a long dive.

"I have been trapped in a well for the past week," he explained. "The flood water washed me out. I apologize for the confusion, but thank you very much for the help"

He fished in his pockets for the money. Along with mud, he was able to produce 20.00 in change, which was the entirety of the profits from his lemonade stand. He put it all on the counter in a pile.

Venn waved to yet another co-worker of his! if a Janitor can be counted as one! "Hi FLUDD!"

FLUDD took the time to respond to Venny now that he could actually speak. "Oh, hello, Mr. Jones! I will be getting back to work as soon as possible, don't worry."
