Characters: Goose, Rajani What: Title says it! Where: Weeee are going to see about that. %D; When: Christmas Day, futuredated heavily. Rating: PG to PG-13-ish.
Rajani had seen a lot of hype about this "holiday season" thing, but she had been unwilling to admit she had no idea what it was.
The Pokemon was still somewhat avoidant around people, so she did her best to not be found. However, seeing a familiar face wandering around would get her attention. What was he doing?
She stealthily (though unintentionally) approached him from behind, inquiring "Are you looking for something?"
Goose jumped, flipping around to face her and shoving the box behind his back. He quickly masked the sudden nervous change of attitude with a laidback smirk, though.
"You, actually," He slyly grinned, his eyes twinkling with an anticipating light. "I've got somethin' for ya."
He then added, "But ya' have to guess which hand it is~"
Rajani blinked. As quickly as she could have gotten this over with, she wasn't the type to go around reading minds, especially not his. "The right one." Here's hoping it was correct.
"Nope," Goose paused, feigning a frown before breaking his grin back out after the silence. "But I'll let ya' have it anyway."
He handed over the gift box. Inside, Rajani would get to see a silver, amethyst pendant just lying in wait for her. It costed him a decent amount of cash, but hey, he was pretty stuffed with cash. It didn't feel like far too big a loss.
Rajani opened the box, removing the pendant and holding it up to see it. Her expression showed a faint hint of awe but that was just because she was bad at showing emotion.
"Ain't it?" Goose laughed, his smirk descending into a mere genuine smile. "Wanna go ahead and try it on? Here, let me."
He removed the necklace from its nestled position in the box. He unstrapped the chain with a click, and wrapped it around Rajani's neck before fastening it right back again.
"There ya' are," He stood back and whistled. "Lookin' good!"
Normally if someone's hands were anywhere NEAR her neck, Rajani would try to get away instantly. But she'd had enough time to build up a sufficient amount of trust in him, so she allowed him to put it on her.
She smiled awkwardly at him. "You did not need to do that, but... thank you."
"No prob," Goose nodded, glad that she enjoyed the gift. But hm, now that they were out here, what now? He wanted to stay inside in a sense, due to the snow and all, but at the same time... it was Christmas, dammit!
"Say, ya' doin' anything today?" He assumed that she'd know why he asked that.
Oh right, she was a Pokemon thing. Did Pokemon celebrate human holidays? Goose didn't know. "Ain't ya' ever heard of Christmas?" He asked, cocking his head to the side slightly, almost unnoticeably.
"Well, shoot," Goose folded his arms. She was more sheltered than a chicken in a barn with no roosters or caretakers to him. "Well, Christmas has got a hell of a lot of celebration to do. Ain't much here in this city, but..."
He then got an idea. "Hey, Little States near home's got a hell of a lot to do for the holidays. Ever thought of travelin' for a day?"
"It ain't that far a distance," Goose grinned wildly. "When ya fly in a gyrocopter."
He then took her by the wrist and wordlessly dragged her to the center of town (which wasn't too far from here), leading her over to his tacky, shark-faced pride and joy. Ohhhh geez.
Since Rajani knew that protesting would get her nowhere, she decided to forego that entirely.
She had no comment on the aircraft's appearance, but she was wary of it. "I have not traveled by way of modern vehicles before..." she trailed off, unsure of how to finish that.
Wow, she really WAS sheltered. Poor girl, never getting to experience the amazing thrill of a gyro ride. Well, now was about time for that to change. Big time.
"Then climb on in and we'll hit the skies," Goose grinned. "Should take 'bout an hour to get to Little States. Whaddya' say, Janie?"

In fact, he felt like it was worth it.

"Here's my baby," He laughed proudly.
