Catching up on my vast backlog of Penny Arcade reading, I came across this sentence fragment:
"the place between "good enough" and "great" is a haunted realm of madness and despair, where every inch is won in blood."
Now, they're referring to Microsoft and Sony's new motion controllers, and their attempt to be something better than the schlock the Wii has put out, but I think it holds true on its own as well.
