Jobs that want me?
Well I know its been a long while since I posted anything worth reading here on my journal and I don't blame any of you for not reading this post either......But hey I have form of good news.
Last Monday July 12, 2004 I received a phone call from a lady working with the company Altig International/ American Income Life. She was calling me about my resume which the week before I had posted to both Flipdog.com and Monster.com; She wanted to talk with me about some things and then asked me to come in Yesterday Tuesday July 20, 2004. I went in and had an interview (the first part of a three part hiring process) I went through the interview really nervous and not really knowing what the job is that they are looking to hire someone for. All I know is the company is a 900 million dollar insurance company that deals with Labor unions and credit unions.
Well tomorrow Thursday July 22, 2004 I go in for an informational meeting with several others candidates, and several head managers of Oregon offices for the company......I really don't know what to expect except to bring a note pad and pen so I can take notes at the meeting and learn more about the company and the benefits programs the company offers to employees.
I hope to find out what I might be doing for the company at this meeting....I am sort of apprehensive about it since this is the first job offer I have had since graduating college this last spring; as well as a professional job setting.
I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I make it through the third part which is another interview. I will keep all of you people out there updated on the status of this event that took me by surprise.
