Kittens.
So last night I heard a high pitched mewing under the back steps of our house. Turns out one of the neighborhood stray cats decided that would be a good place to have kittens. I could see at least two and they are teeny. And cute...though I could only see them as little black-and-white balls of fur.
But still...people need to spay/neuter their pets, especially if they're going to let them roam. As much as I love kittens, there's no shortage of them. My dad's been trapping the cats in his neighborhood to take them to a vet that does reduced-price neutering/spaying for stray cats. When he's done - and hopefully when I have a new job or too - I may have to borrow the trap and cage to do some of the ones in my neighborhood. But it's just a drop in the bucket. Sigh.
