I haven't posted in forever. Here goes:
In November Chesney and I got back together, if we're together, if we were ever together to begin with. Since then things have been pretty good and somehow less anxious. I guess I just love her and will keep loving her until it's not possible anymore.
December was better than I had expected. Christmas was very nice and included some really crazy stories. My mother's surprise party was incredible. She was blown away. Best night of the year easily. I got some movies for Christmas, an iPod, some clothes and books. It might be the first time in twenty years I didn't get any video games. I got Chesney a
Wolverine Mighty Mugg and she got me an X-Men pop up book. How lame are we? Matching Christmas gifts.
The most touching part of Christmas was the card Chesney gave me which basically thanked me for being there for her during a very hard time and she said she hoped that she helped me. And I wrote the same thing in my card. We're lame. I know.
I spent New Year's Eve with Chelsea and Chesney at a Halloween party. We had a lot of fun. I spent the last moments of the worst year of my life with the girl I love. Why? Because when we're together I am always smiling. It just works. 2008 will be remember for very few things. Chesney. Kiersten. Radiohead concert. The Phillies winning the world series. Henry Rollins at the church. Meeting Ted Leo (oh yeah, did that in December too). Chesney was there for every single great event of the year. For better or worse she'll be my most prominent memory.
I started 2009 next to Chesney. She never stays over. It was nice to wake up next to her. We had breakfast with Chelsea and my mother. We promised that things would be better for both of us in 2009.
My favorite album of 2008 was Los Campesinos! Hold On Now, Youngster...
My favorite song was Lightspeed Champion's "Dry Lips".
My favorite movie was There Will be Blood.
