I have laryngitis, can't sleep, and am watching the Tour de France on T.V. The whole world has turned upside-down. I'm relatively sure that I'm never going to be able to talk again/sound like myself again, so if anyone wants to learn my new primary language (American Sign Language) with me, let me know in writing

also, while getting this picture, I found a pair of glow-in-the-dark gloves for sale so that you can talk in the dark. It never once occured to me that deaf people can't communicate in the dark. This is a breakthrough for me and deafies.

This list of signs is very Frontier oriented. I thought the only deaf person back then was Helen Keller?
I guess the lesson of the day is that the deaf are full of surprises.
