First Day of Classes

Feb 01, 2006 16:41

So, classes finally started.

Philosophy of Religion was GREAT, we obviously didn't really do anything in any of my classes today, but during his intro he just posed a bunch of questions and arguments that have been made for and against those questions. While he was talking, its like there was a riot in my head! So many thoughts! It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut. I'm so excited. I can't wait for real discussion to begin. He is a really intelegent man too. At the end of class, he just started bsing because he was done w/ the sylabus and he went on this rant about omnipotence and how can God be all powerful if it is in his/her nature to be omnipotent, because then he/she doesn't have the power to NOT be omnipotent... he was just having fun, but it was great to see him work. I'm really really excited.

Weight Training was gym. The only kinda cool thing is that Frances, one of my SSL girls, is going to be in my class! Oh and then the getting into shape and losing weight will be nice too.

Then was Art. That was kinda fun. The prof is really nice, but she speaks really quietly. We drew today with charcol repetitive shapes to music. Mine pretty much sucked, but thats ok. =) Thats why I'm taking the class, right? We have to have 32 sketches of the same object by Monday too. I'm not sure what to do.. maybe some scissors or something.

But anyways, that was my Monday-Wednesday schedule. Tomorrow you will be graced with my Tuesday-Thursday schedule, and I know you are all ooh-so excited.

PS: I just got word from my mom today that my grandma barb is ok. I didn't want to write anything because I didn't want to jinx it or anything. A lot of health realated stuff just happened in my family in this first month of this year... but anyways. She went to the doctor and they found some lumps. They thought the cancer came back and went in for surgery right away. It turned out just to be a lump on her vein or something, but while they were taking that out they found another one that was really close to her heart. She didn't recover well from that surgery so she had a pacemaker put in and they had to go in for surgery again last week or so. She just got out today, and she seems to be doing alright. This March will be her 70th birthday. :) I'm glad she's alright. Hopefully we'll get to see her sometime this year, maybe...
