Here's my ambitious gardening plan for this year.
I finally got around to assembling a raised, three-tier garden bed. I have most of the soil added. I just need a few more trips to the nursery (about 8-10 more bags of soil) and I'm set to begin.
I already have a small raised herb garden packed to capacity with the major staples: rosemary, sage, thyme, leeks.
I also have a giant pot that has done well to nurture a blueberry bush. It even produced some good berries last year. I originally had two, but one didn't make it during the dry days we had while we were away on vacation last year. I'm planning to replant the surviving bush and get it a partner to pollinate.
I have a separate area in the yard for my strawberry plants (that are trying to take over the entire yard). I plan on replanting those into raised pots to help with the harvesting and avoiding the slugs.
