Things I learned this week . . .
1. At the Easter Vigil mass on Saturday night, the Exultant is not anywhere near as moving if, during it, the church's fire alarm starts to go off because of all the heat from the candles.
2. Weekends at the beach can be kind of boring if it's RAINING ALL THE TIME.
3. Running on the beach is great. Running on the beach in the rain kind of sucks.
4. It IS possible to eat too many cookies.
5. I really like Virginia Ham.
6. Looking at the ads in GQ magazine is . . . amazing. It's like really super-classy porn.
7. Dial-up connections are totally awful.
8. My youngest child is no less annoying when my oldest child isn't around. In fact, my youngest child may be MORE annoying without my oldest child to distract her.
9. The map really IS trying to kill Dora.
10. I have got to find a way to get some new music. I'm getting bored with what I have.
Those were not that interesting. But it hasn't been a very interesting few weeks. Easter this year was boring, kind of anticlimactic. Too early, I think, to build up any steam. The fire alarm thing was kind of a hoot, in an annoying kind of way.
I'm teaching a class for a friend today. First time in front of a classroom in over four years. Wow. Kind of excited. Kind of tired. Gotta go take a look at what it is I'm supposed to teach.
